Following forestry operations, restocking ensures woodlands longevity and long term health. We combine natural regeneration with targeted replanting to establish a diverse structure. Usually planting in canopy gaps in woodlands in cluster planting strategy rather than row planting, to gain the most success in trees surviving. Cluster planting is when you over plant a area expecting to have some losses.

Introducing new species after other unwanted species are removed from a woodland, this is particularly effective when converting conifer dominated woodland into broad leaf native woodlands. An over time approach to transition woodlands into more natural, ecologically balanced systems.

Planting for Habitat creation & Wildlife -

Biodiversity planting focuses on developing the under-storey  and creating mixed and lower canopy heights, often missing in modern woodlands. By introducing shrubs and smaller trees species, we create essential habitat for birds, pollinators and insects. We can also add man made habitat boxes in certain areas of your woodlands.
